DMG MORI opens new training center in Pfronten
DMG MORI opened its new training center on Monday during its traditional Open House in Pfronten. On three floors and covering around 4,500 m², the center offers state-of-the-art learning and project rooms for up to 150 apprentices, trainees, and dual students with a clear focus on future technologies, automation, and digitalization. The learning rooms are designed to be practical, flexible, and enable lifelong learning.
As a leading global machine tool manufacturer, DMG MORI is committed to promoting young talent and expertise. Current trainees were therefore closely involved in the design of the training center. The goal is to maintain the high standard of training, continuously improve it, and inspire and promote the company's own young talent – as a basis for innovation and competitiveness in Germany as an industrial location.
"With the new training center, we are creating space for the next generation because they are key shapers of the future. They contribute new ways of thinking, digital skills, and a natural affinity for technologies and sustainable solutions. This makes it all the more important to equip young talents so that they can confidently take on their tasks and actively drive change forward: with innovative technology, practical learning environments, and genuine enthusiasm for mechanical engineering," reports Cornelius Nöß, Chief Managing Director of DMG MORI Pfronten GmbH.
"Bavaria stands for innovation, performance, and dynamic growth. With the opening of this state-of-the-art training center, DMG MORI shows what the future looks like. The fact that a global market leader is making targeted investments here in Pfronten in the future of Bavaria, Germany, and Europe is a strong signal for the entire region and truly aligns with Bavaria’s identity. Through the Hightech Agenda Bayern, we have launched a uniquely successful model across Europe. We are investing 6 billion euros in the key technologies of the 21st century," says Eric Beißwenger, Bavarian State Minister for European Affairs and International Relations.
More than 100 years of experience for a successful future
More than 13,500 employees in 44 countries are driving forward the development of integrated solutions for manufacturing at DMG MORI. Around a third of them work in Germany. The plant in Pfronten is not only the largest European production site, but also an important hub for research and development. As an expert in 5-axis milling and technology integration with over 100 years of experience, the plant manufactures over 50 different machine types.
The future of machines begins with the people who develop, operate, and think ahead. With the new training center in Pfronten, DMG MORI is investing specifically in these people: the next generation that will keep the industry strong tomorrow.
